1. A Faithful Few
Our eyes betray
In everything
Hearts of broken men
We do not hope
With certainty
For that we cannot see
Escaping death
Through fury quenched
We trust not ourselves
Those once despised
Have overcome
Silenced, the scoffers cry
We are the few but faithful
Our hearts ablaze
When all the world forsakes us
We will remain
Unchanged amidst
Condemning cries
We will not sever ties
These ancient words
That promised day
Will never fade away
2. The Call Of Wisdom
How long can we hide our eyes?
How can we stand to be so simple?
Why don't we see we are such fools?
When will we stop to heed the call of wisdom?
Forget tomorrow
I'll never be prepared for anything
Live for today
So long as I persist in this delusion
And now
Let it flood
And wash away the filth
May cleansing bring wisdom
Cry out for the gift of insight
Understanding will come to you like rain
Listen and cling to righteousness
Wisdom will make all of your paths unbroken
We must heed the call
Those who hate reproof will be sated with their own devices
3. Across The Baltic
Oh can you feel it? The foundations, how they shake
This fortress built on stone eroded, washed away
The past is dead, new hope is born
So come let us worship, the saints of tomorrow
And so we stand as few but strong
Ready to face this coming dawn
Lost at sea, amidst winter storm
The world we knew has all but gone
Oh how glorious our inheritance now defamed
The mantras of our fathers rewritten will be blamed
And when they say, as men of old,
"The truth you hold is but your own,"
Across this land, these words resound,
"Forsake your God, and worship self"
How long will we endure
This selfishness as the cure
For our complacency?
Reclaim our lives from slavery?
Is this our fate, to cave within?
Trade liberty for a license to sin?
4. Chokehold
We want to know we're in control
Our destiny must be our own
But holding onto liberty,
We will forsake eternity
Our hearts' desire
Is not our minds' intent
How can we follow
That which we can't prevent?
There's always something
A secret vice
We can't let go of
Despite the price
Into this bondage
We go with apathy
The chains that bind us
Our eyes refuse to see
Oh it's killing me
The weight of all I regret
I'm haunted by
The life I can't forget
5. Break The Cycle
Our own fathers
Have failed us
Now we bear their burden
Their lust consumes us
Fear corrodes
And pain corrupts
Even to death, I would not deny you
Surely not I, I would ever betray with a kiss
Now we suffer
For their sins
We are the consequence
Well I refuse to
Be consumed
I will not compromise
Three times I could not face
The burden of your name
My weakness stemming from
His willing fall from grace
I'll become the model
I will break the cycle
6. Golgotha
The hour is at hand
And the Son of Man
Is betrayed into the hands
Of sinners
Flee in fear of death
Let the scriptures be fulfilled
Silent power bows its head to blasphemy
By blatant perversion of justice, truth made fallacy
Sounded for our transgression
Crushed for our iniquity
Struck down to fill our emptiness
So that we might be made whole
These hands are washed clean from stain of guiltless blood
Crucify your teacher, the man whose only charge is love
It is complete
This day all things are made anew
This day we're reconciled to you
Returning victorious
Death's hold destroyed
With evil vanquished
The serpent undone
When He breathed His last
And the sun went black
The blood of the lamb is spilled
For sinners
Take this flesh and blood
For the scriptures are fulfilled
7. Second Birth
Lifeless, never-ending emptiness
With no one to witness
Only transcending space and time
Made known to me
Spoken into the heavens
An empty lifeless void
Where once was nothing to behold
Now the universe resides
And yet, at the appointed time
The author became flesh
That He might fulfill
The Word that always was
History's culmination, the beginning of the end
Hope for tomorrow found in promises secured
We do not know what the future holds
But we know where we have come from
Some will call it mystery, others ancient history
Yet all of our prosperity is fading
When will we recognize our present perfect lives
Hinge on the sacrifice of those who came before?
The scales have fallen from my eyes
This heart of stone replaced with flesh
This life though once consumed with self
Now finds its freedom and its worth
In dying for this second birth
8. Ultimatum
Despair is waiting
To make the kill
Depression paralyzes
My very will
I've lost so much, squandering time
And at the hour when we're put to the test
We are asleep as slaves to idleness
This withered image we see in our reflection
Is only proof that there's no life within us
There is no time left, I must decide
This is the ultimatum, will I abide?
I know your promises, you've proved your faith
Here where the path diverges, I have to choose a side
My stubborn heart won't let my judgment override
I'm so outweighed by failure, I cannot bear the thought
I pray for freedom now, from all the pain I've wrought
Despite fear
I choose now
To dwell here
Forever
I could leave you, but to whom would I go?
You hold the words of truth, and so my faith rests in you.
9. Reject The Counterfeit
Don't let it take advantage of your desires
This shadow of fulfillment is laced with poison
I know the hunger you feel
Take heart, for it can be filled
The beauty you are drawn to is not the evil
Denying that it's sacred
The greatest pitfall
Temptation never leaves you
Use your decision
There is only triumph in mastery
Reject the counterfeit that empties you
Embrace the new creation, begin anew
10. Eternal Throne
Now we face this rising tide
And against all odds we stand
Firm upon this rock
Amongst crashing waves and sand
Counterfeit salvation turned tyranny at last
Courage of the ancients
Our dying hope held fast
Never will we fall in line
No, never will we bide our time
As loyal subjects of this mortal kingdom
Our darkest days are yet to come
The gates of Hell hath come undone
And yet shall we sing praises to our King
So that we might endure this test
Now we give our lives in full witness
We suffer for His sake,
In death we will not break
Just as those who came before
We long to see that day
With the Architect revealed
This world will fade away
The promises of old
Will never be undone
Nor will we waver
Until our monarch comes
By way of holy fear
We are the righteous heirs
To an eternal throne
Our origin made known
What more then shall we proclaim?
Our weakness turned to strength
Through torture we will stay
Though only death remains
Destitution lies at the foot of shallow graves
Though this world condemns, tenfold they'll be repaid
11. More Than Conquerors
What can you cleave from a gift that's given absolutely?
Nothing can circumscribe a nature that's infinite
Known forever, our plotted path
This destiny, our calling
Through this quest we are justified
Adorned with endless glory
Like slaughter lambs
Our blood is spilt
The suffering is ceaseless
But chosen to be His elect
We render death defeated
Shall our hearts' distress, or famine, our fear in tribulation
Peril, sword, or poverty, the agony of persecution
Separate any one of us
From the all-pervasive love?
For Your sake we face death all day long
But through this, we are more than conquerors
There is no power in death or life to pry us from salvation
No angel's voice or demon's scheme can cause such deprivation.
Such deprivation through separation cannot hold us.
There is no force in all of time or creation
To sever us from the One
Through whom our death is more than conquered
12. Monolith
Your eyes gaze upon the shores of barren seas
Lost worlds far beyond our reach, they speak Your name
We cannot hope to grasp the vastness of Your universe
No veil of darkness will prevent the light that radiates
From everything
But who an remember the hour they came to be,
And who can predict when their heart will cease to beat?
So we all pretend that, that the world is in our hands
And faithfully we trust, one day we'll understand
Your hands labour through the night, a star is forged
Raptured in blinding light, it worships You
No one will ever know the ageless wonders of Your realm
No singularity escapes the One that permeates
Through everything
Transcendent Monolith,
Now revealed to us
Your meaning hidden from
Those withholding trust
Your power
Your strength
Your love
Your grace
