"Today a strangled woman was found in the Brezany brook. It appears that her killer had started to give her a lift home, but had then continued on until he came to the little valley surrounded by woods.

Except for a pair of gray knee-high stockings and the gold wedding band on her finger, she was naked, lying in the shallow stream on her back, her legs spread wide apart, covered by a couple of tree branches.

She had been strangled, both manually and with a ligature, though the ligature was missing. In one of her buttocks was a stab wound. Her clothing and purse were missing. Her I.D. was found on the shoreline of the Vltava.
