[Arter, while dreaming, feels the arrive of Draita and his black troops. The fate shows him ancient battles where brave warriors defended the reign even by losing their lives and families. Visions of death and storms haunt his mind. When the Northern Winds will blow over the Shadeis Lagoon, Draita will cross the Dragonis Valley. From that moment forth, battle will be raging.]

[As Arter dreamt, Draita's troops are going to cross the Dragon's Valley. Arter is in town with Eloira, his wife, and Airo, the betraying servant, and he does not imagine that his dream is going to turn true. King Heroid, after having gathered his most faithful knights, prepares the defence and orders to his army to resist until their last breath.]

[The Heroid's army has been defeated. Several brave knights losing Their lives purified the Dragonis Valley by their blood. The king, after having sighed his last words, by which he designated Arter as his successor, died proudly. The battle was lost but not the Whole war; the hard resistance turned this day as victorious!]

[Teresia, crying, tells her son about his father's death. Oddly, Thy Majestie feels Heroid's soul near his own. He feels anger, and sadness, but deep in his heart he knows that, in the end, the good will win. Meanwhile, down to the streets of Durnovaria, Arter meets Itrock, deputy boss of the Elves of the Forest, who invites him to spend some days at his village.]

A prophecy shows Arter his forthcoming victory and the way to find Hywelbane.]
